Objective: The growth of technology, the expansion of communications, media, and virtual networks, advertising, the development of food industries, and the like, have led
to changes in eating styles and diversity in people's food tastes. On the other hand, considering the importance of halal food and its effects on the body, spirit, and individual morality, according to the religious teachings of Islam, being careful about food is important.
Materials and Methods: This study aims to investigate the thematic content and scientific trends of the scientific sources examined in this research and their application in modern life using a systematic review method. The research sample consisted of 20 scientific sources, articles and theses, which were selected by searching for the keywords "nutrition", "halal food" and "lifestyle" in various scientific databases of humanities, basic sciences, medicine and parapsychology, and eliminating sources that lacked complete research stages.
Findings: Most of the studies conducted in the field of halal food have been conducted in the specialized fields of theology and Islamic studies and using the library study method. Research in this field has been divided into 4 thematic categories, with emphasis on the subject: halal food (14 studies), healthy food (4 studies), halal livelihood (1 study), and food security (1 study).
Conclusion: In general, research in the field of halal food does not have high scientific and research credibility. The research methods of studies in this field are library, documentary and non-applied and have not led to solving nutritional problems in modern daily life. There is a serious weakness in the policies supporting halal food. Also, inattention to new issues is evident in halal food studies.
