Background and purpose: Jihadi spirit and its strengthening in the Islamic society is one of the most basic needs of the people of the society, which causes the dynamism, progress and strength of the society. Therefore, special attention has been paid in the verses and narrations to strengthen the spirit of jihad and the factors affecting it, and the purpose of this research is to investigate the characteristics of the spirit of jihad based on religious sources and Ayatollah Khamenei's point of view.

materials and methods; This research aims to explain the characteristics of Jihadi spirit from Ayatollah Khamenei's point of view by using verses and narrations and books related to them. This research was carried out by the method of library study and the necessary information was collected, analyzed and analyzed; Therefore, the research method in this article is descriptive-analytical.

findings; In order to strengthen the spirit of jihad, several factors have been listed and what is important is that the spirit of jihad has characteristics in cognitive and moral dimensions. In the cognitive dimension, including; Faith in God is self-knowledge, guardianship, enemy knowledge, and in the moral dimension; Trust, avoiding pride and wonder, unity and unity, sincerity, etc. have been explained.
